Edendork St Malachy's GAC in memory of deceased committee member Frank McMahon, held a tree planting ceremony on Monday 20th April at Edendork St Malachy's grounds. A tree was planted by Frank's cousin Joseph McMahon in Frank’s memory and in appreciation of all his work and dedication to the club throughout his life. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd of committee members past and present, players past and present, family and friends. The club would like to thank all who attended.
Frank Mc Mahon was a committee member of St Malachy’s, Edendork almost continuously from the early 1960’s. He was elected Secretary in 1978 to 1979 and again from 1987 to 1994. He was Assistant Secretary in 1982, 1986 and 1987; Press Officer 1983 to 1987 and Assistant Treasurer 2000/2001. Frank brought to all his club positions a very thorough approach and a loyalty and commitment to the club that was an example to all.Frank Mc Mahon was a great Gael and a great worker and club volunteer for St Malachy’s throughout his adult life. We have, as a mark of a great clubman, his contribution to our club history, his central role in the development of our present facilities, the time and commitment he devoted to all the positions he held within the club and his loyalty to Cumann Lúthchleas Gael and to Cumann Naomh Mhaelsheachlainn, Éadán dTorc

Edendork St Malachy's GAC Dinner Dance 2009 - Tuesday, February 03, 2009
The Edendork St Malachy’s GAC Dinner Dance took place in Dungannon Golf Club on Friday night. It was a great success, thank you to all that attended and to the Golf Club for a wonderful meal. Congratulations to the following winners, The Jim Kane Senior Player of the Year Award was presented to Padraig Donnelly by Margaret Rafferty, Reserve Player of the Year Christopher Coulter, Minor Player of the Year Darren O’Rourke, Social and Cultural Award Kieran O’Donnell. The Ambrose Kelly Clubman of the Year Award was presented to Brendan Nelis by Trish Dillon. The Hall of Fame Award was presented to Vinny Devlin, collected by Aidan Devlin.
In what was an obviously difficult year for the club, there were some great highlights. The Seniors retained Intermediate Football status, the Reserves finished in the top four of the League. The Charity Gala Ball and the club hosting the Tyrone v Donegal National League game were historic landmarks for the club. The youth of the club lived up to the high expectations they have set themselves with the U-15 Ulster success and the U-16 Championship and League winning team. We had two All-Ireland Hogan Cup winners in Niall Morgan and Mark McLernon and the Ladies Football, Camogie and Scor continues to go from strength to strength. Plans for the new Clubhouse are well under way, the club has a new jersey for Senior and Reserve and we look forward together to the challenges and hard work ahead in 2009.
